Context

A platform built on legacy PHP, moving to Node and React on GCP.

What I did and why

I was the technical lead on the migration, using the strangler pattern to replace the legacy system piece by piece. Along the way: REST and GraphQL APIs, queues with DLQs, JWT and OAuth2, multi-level caching, circuit breakers, SLOs and runbooks.
